The Roo
Grose Vale NSW 2753, Australia
Not quite a tiny house, but a tiny shed build around a standard 20 foot shipping container, (could easily be converted to a tiny house). This drop in shed has all the essentials provided and the potential to customize!
Some of the great features include:
– Gantry crane spanning the full length and width of the floor area
– Fully duct-ed dust extractor system, with an industrial grade materially handling fan (VSD Controlled) mounted in the roof (cyclone separator and wheelie bin waste disposal)
– 21 dimmable led downlights operating at a safe 30vd which turn on and off gently (as to not hurt your eyes)
– Cabinets at eye level running the full length
– 3x 15A single socket outlets mounted on the roof
– 3X 10A double socket outlets mounted on the wall
– Meticulous electrical installation (all s/o and lights run back to the main control cabinet in conduit, allowing easy maintenance if required)
– Roof uses the klip-lock securing system (no holes drilled into the roof sheeting material and no concerns of leaks)
– 40mm air gap between roof and 10mm foil backed foam insulation (kingspan) in order to provide maximum shielding from the hot sun.
– Large storage space above ceiling for timers and materials, which has a heavy duty 25mm vic ash ply flooring (to support point loads) and each sheet fixed with threaded countersunk bolts (allowing removal to access ceiling cavity)
– Concealed fold out door to access roof space (operated via hand winch)
– Rubber flooring to prevent fatigue and protection of both the floor and tools from impacts.
The structure also has great character with the exposed cypress beams and spotted gum cladding.
