The design achieves a spacious feeling within a compact form through minimal separations and interconnected spaces that open up to the outside through plentiful windows and doors. The whole volume is a single space informally separated into two areas. The sleeping/lounge area is elevated to provide storage under accessible from the living/kitchen area.

Rather than locating a bathroom in the tiny house itself we opted for making allowances for an external bathroom. This allows for more spacious living areas with windows to all sides, as well as for a more spacious outdoorsy bathroom experience offering more qualities to both the tiny and the bathroom.

The interior is full of clever space saving features; from a drawer that becomes a seat, that becomes a lounge, that becomes a queen size bed, to a stair that pulls out to reveal a storage chest.

There is a choice of sleeping arrangements; a slide-out queen size bed in the living/kitchen area and a double, or king, size bed in the elevated sleeping/lounge area. The table can be moved on an integrated rail or stowed away on the wall to free up floor space for play, exercise, or the slide out bed.

The exterior is rustic with recycled steel and timber cladding and the interior is warm with poplar ply and hardwood timbers finished with natural sealers.
