Park up at a Permaculture Oasis in The Forest.
Off grid permaculture retreat being developed from scratch in the Wombeyan Caves, Southern Highlands, NSW. A sustainable work in progress & slow labour of love. Features the ancient creek in the Gundungurrah creation myth of Jenolan & Wombeyan Caves. It’s beauty framed by 400 acres of rugged mountainous eucalypt forest with many flat areas for private potential home sites, close to a small dam.
On The Plateau, adjacent to where I live in my bush cabin & bus there is a handhewn micro earthship which houses free range chooks & ducks with plenty of eggs to share. Bordering on a burgeoning tiny orchard with bees & heritage fruit trees, a mandala herb garden and a plateau being developed into an organic hugelkultur food forest, surrounding a pond and aquaponics system.
Ideally looking for longterm person/peeps with short term trial window but open to negotiation. Would suit those that are interested in the pursuit of a decentralised and sustainable slow life, with a passion for permaculture and respect for mother nature and the sentience of everything.
Rent free negotiable, preference for basic caretaking tasks [animal feeding/running irrigation], nothing too physical for when I travel [which is a bit, I’m an indie filmmaker]. You can emotionally invest as little or as much as you want in the end. For the right person this could be an excellent opportunity. Need to be independent as there is no power/water on site although there is water catchment in a couple of areas. It’s very much as is where is ATM. But in a constant state of evolution.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
